Branden Smeltzer is entering his sixth year with the Riptides Volleyball Club and has been the Varsity Coach at West High School for the past three years. As a coach he has earned A gold medal at the 2007 Junior Olympics, a bronze medal at the 2009 Junior Olympics and was the Daily Breeze coach of the year in the Bay League in 2007.

Crutch has a 3 page resume that is too lengthy to include. Some of the highlights are his work with USA Mens National Team, his continued work with the Long Beach State team since 2001, 4 different volleyball camps including the USA development camps and @ Youth National teams. He coached at Wilson High School , Servite High School and Santa Monica High School . John has been with the Riptides since 2002.

Aaron is a North High School alumni where his volleyball career was born.  In 2002, he began playing for Riptides where he flourished as an athlete, leader, and most importantly mentor to his fellow Riptides players. As a sixth-year coach for Riptides, Aaron’s fun-loving personality and passion for the sport consistently brings out the best in his players. Aaron was named second Team All-Conference his first season as a middle blocker for the El Camino men's volleyball team.

Ryan Stuntz is a long time volleyball player and coach that played at Lewis University, and was a part of the team that won the National Championship match.  Stuntz is a two time member of the NCAA All American team and has been asked to workout with the USA Mens National team several times.  Stuntz also played professionally in multiple leagues throughout Europe.

Eric joins the Riptides staff for his eighth season with the club. As a player at Junior Olympics, he won a bronze medal in 2002, and gold medals in 2004 and 2005. He graduated from Mira Costa High School and continued his volleyball career at UC San Diego, where he was the captain for three years. He finished his career as the single season and career digs leader, and was once named an Asics/Volleyball Magazine All-American. He played this season professionally in Belgium. Last year he served as the co-coach of the Riptides SD 18s team.

Collin played at Quincy University from 2005-2009.  He was also a member of the USA Volleyball High Performance, Youth, and Junior National Training teams. 

Collin coached at USA Volleyball Camps (Girls and Boys), he is the girls Varsity Assistant Coach at West Torrance High School and the boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Bishop Montgomery High School and he has more than 10 Years of Experience
